Under the Influence creates a dialogue between the work of the neurologically diverse and artists that draw inspiration from their unique sensibilities. For the first time at LAND, lines are being blurred between these two groups. The show highlights the commonalities and introduces a new collaboration.

This exhibition brings together the gallery artists from LAND with emerging talents using a variety of media. Displayed in a salon style the work included will provide an equality of vision linked by the underlying necessity for expression.

About LAND

LAND (League Artists Natural Design) is a unique studio and gallery that provides a nurturing, creative environment to exceptional artists with disabilities.

LAND is a highly specialized art program where individuals have a five-day-a-week studio practice that provides artists with the opportunity to exchange information with artists, curators, writers, collectors, and arts organizations interested in social change and the expansion of the art world. LAND is the latest innovation of The League Treatment Center.

Land Continues a Progressive Practice
Both Creative Growth in Oakland California and Gateway Craft in Boston paved the way for newer studio programs like LAND Studio & Gallery in Brooklyn, New York to explore innovative arts programming for the Boroughs under served population.
